Balsa Wood is a lightweight, absorbent, neutral-coloured wood with a silky sheen and a soft texture. Because of its light weight and low density it is perfect for building models for school or home projects, and glue, polish and stains can all be applied to this versatile wood. This thick, long 91.5x7.5x0.8 plank is solid enough to make a frame for an art model of sculpture, yet is still light and quite portable for its size.
