Art Spectrum Spectrum Vermilion is a brilliant red pigment on the spectrum. It was originally made from the powdered mineral Cinnabar. It was particularly popular in Ancient Rome, the illuminated manuscripts of the Middle Ages and paintings of the Renaissance.
